Who Are All The People In The OR?

“When you make it to surgery, you might notice that there are a number of different people in the operating room apart from just a surgeon.”

The Operating Room has many moving parts, one of them being the need for a team of highly-skilled individuals in their selective field who can help in the process.

“So I know it's a lot of faces, but you can rest assured that they're all there to make sure that everything goes well with surgery.”

This can include:

  • Anesthesiologist

  • Scrub Tech

  • Nurse

  • Assistant

Where do we perform our surgeries?

Our surgeons - Dr. Marx, Dr. Broome, and Dr. Harris - perform most of their surgeries at The South Texas Spine & Surgical Hospital.

Why Dr. Marx loves The South Texas Spine & Surgical Hospital:

  • The hospital is smaller - easy in, easy out

  • Staff is very friendly

  • Everyone is very familiar with orthopedic surgery

The South Texas Spine & Surgical Hospital offers something unique that most places around the San Antonio area don’t. With it being a smaller hospital, you get a more personalized experience compared to a larger hospital. Our patients are able to get focused one-on-one care for treatments such as hip, knee, and shoulder replacements.
