Hip Arthroscopy
in San Antonio

What is hip arthroscopy?

Hip arthroscopy, or hip scope surgery, refers to viewing the inside of the hip joint through a small surgical camera called an arthroscope. The image from the camera allows the surgeon to operate inside the joint with minimal incisions. The doctors of San Antonio Orthopeadic Specialities have extensive training and experience in hip arthroscopy.

Historically, hip surgery involved a large incision and more invasive techniques that lead to longer recovery times. Today, arthroscopic surgery has advanced the quality of care and the average downtime. Orthopeadic Surgeons like Dr. Harris, Dr. Broome, and Dr. Stryker have made it possible for surgical hip repair to be an outpatient procedure.

What People Are Saying About Hip Arthroplasty

I wouldn’t go anywhere else. If you are having joint issues this is the place to go. I was treated as if I was the only patient he had for the entire day and he was so attentive to my issues. He took his time explaining the procedure and expected outcome of treatment needed. I wouldn’t hesitate on sending any my friends and family to see Dr. Stryker.

I had my right hip fixed four years ago by Dr. Harris. After a magnificent recovery, there was no doubt that I could only trust Dr. Harris to fix my left hip (as he predicted four years ago, thanks to AF Parachuting). I am an airline pilot and must past an annual physical and I would only trust Dr. Harris to accomplish this surgery. I know that he has done thousands of hips (and knees) I always knew that I was in great hands. He has remarkably hired an entire staff that are as professional and are as personal as Dr. Harris. He teaches his unique procedures across our country, additionally, he uses and has patented his own unique surgical instruments to accomplish his non-invasive surgery. Don’t look anywhere else, Dr. Harris needs to be your hip/knee surgeon.

Always friendly staff, and professional. Dr Broome is not the kind to rush you to surgery without trying other alternatives first. I appreciate that fact and he really listens when I speak and answers my questions. I am happy for the new office facilities are beautiful.
